8th - 10th June 2018

38 Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London, W1K 2HW

The archive is very pleased to be collaborating with Brown’s Hotel to stage a pop up Donovan Bar at the Moët Summer House.

Launching on June 8th and running across three days, the Moët Summer House will mark the start of London’s summer. Set in a Georgian townhouse in the heart of Mayfair, overlooking Grosvenor Square, the summer house will host a variety of champagne tastings, dining experiences and live performances and events.

One of the rooms will be occupied by a pop up Donovan Bar, a temporary outpost of the permanent incarnation at Brown’s Hotel in Piccadilly. A range of Donovan’s black and white photographs will be on view including his iconic portraits of Twiggy, Vidal Sassoon, Julie Christie and Jean Shrimpton. The location is apt as Grosvenor Square is just a few minutes walk from Bourdon Street where Donovan ran his successful studio and where a set of three bronze sculptures now commemorate him and his contribution to the area’s fashion and photographic history.

Access to the house is free but registration is required. Tickets for specific events are booked separately. For more information and to register for access or tickets, please visit: http://www.moetsummerhouse.com/.
